BEER REVIEW FRIDAY!

We love beer and we believe that everyone that works in sustainability has several reasons to love beer as well so we will be talk about a new beer on most Friday’s.  Hopefully you will have a little extra time to enjoy one of the brews we review with all the time you saved in using Green Badger!    Shameless sales plug aside… let’s talk beer!

Today’s delicious brew is the Monday Night Brewing, Bourbon Barrel Drafty Kilt.  It’s a “regionally sourced” beer from Atlanta, GA.  That’s right, punny LEED jokes!

The Drafty Kilt is 8.5% ABV and it’s a seasonal beer so if you miss out you will have to add one more note to your calendar to make sure you get it next time.  Four out five badgers agree that Drafty Kilt is dang good but I would be lying if I said I wish it was an all year beer instead of a seasonal.  The bourbon barrels gives it an a lot of extra color, it’s dark and it heads up nicely.  The bourbon brings out these toasted wood and vanilla flavors along with a pop of chocolate and caramel from the base beer, the Drafty Kilt.

We enjoyed it, we will enjoy it next year and in the mean time I am okay with reverting back to Drafty Kilt.
