I don’t know if you noticed, but summer is here, and it is HOT! The Badger’s been sweating – 2 straight weeks of 90-100 degree days, and this humidity really does a number on my fur. I need relief, and I need it now. Fortunately that comes in the form of a cold, refreshing wheat beer from our friends right up the road in Charleston, SC at Westbrook Brewing Company and their ever so delicious White Thai.
Straight from the brewmaster’s mouth, this beer is “inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, is a twist on the classic Belgian witbier style. Instead of the traditional coriander and orange peel spicing regimen, we add fresh lemongrass, ginger root, and a dash of Sorachi Ace hops. The result is a wonderfully refreshing ale with notes of lemon candy, citrus fruit, and a slight spiciness from the ginger.”
Best served in pairs (or six-packs!) and accompanied by a Green Badger koozie.
