Wow – the Badger has been busy, and been slacking in our beer reviews. But one of our favorite seasonals just hit the shelf, and we’re taking the time to pour a frosty mug of Southern Tier’s Pumking beer. You might be wondering, pumpkin beer, when it is 90 degrees out? That’s what we used to think, until a year or two ago when all the Pumking was bought up by September! So yes, July 31, time for a pumkin beer!
Pumking is a strong imperial ale (8.6% ABV), so when you grab a 22 oz bottle, you’re taking it easy. Two types of malt, two types of hops, low on the bitterness, and if you like pumpkins, you’re gonna like this! So grab one while you can, and pretend it is fall.
